Lotus CEO Dany Bahar plans to double production at Hethel and return to Motor Sport
Through all the gloom and doom car makers have reported over the last year and more there has been one shining light which has seemed impervious to the downturn – Lotus. They’ve not only remained profitable but they’ve managed to bring to market a new car – the Lotus Evora – which has not only been pretty well universally praised but has a full order book to boot. Fiat has revealed an updated version of its Grande Punto, now dubbed the Punto Evo, which will be displayed for the first time at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show before UK sales start in spring 2010. It's quickly apparent that Fiat has tried to spread some 500-style cutesy fun into the Grande Punto range. Has it succeeded?
Mazda has confirmed that the all-new fourth generation Mazda MX-5 (ND) will be unveiled in September 2014. The new MX-5 will be shown simultaneously at events in the USA, Japan and Barcelona in Spain. 2014 also marks the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the first MX-5 – also know as the Eunos Roadster and Mazda Miata – in 1989.
